Welcome Letter
Welcome parents and students to Ms. Warren's 3rd grade classroom. I am so excited to officially welcome you and your child to one of your best and most memorable years at S.E. Vanderhoff Elementary School. I cannot wait for all of us to be taking this wonderful journey through the 3rd grade together. This year, I will open up new doors to learning, growth, and friendships. I am looking forward to sharing all of these great experiences with all of you in my room.
I hope my students have spent some time over break diving into a great book or two, I know I have! I encourage all of my students to spend at least 20 minutes a day home reading a good book. I will schedule this for homework each day. I will also encourage my students to read during class. This will consist of free time, after finishing a classwork assignment or during lunch. I believe that reading is dreaming with eyes wide open. Parents, please encourage your child to read as much as possible.
I hope the see all of you Monday, July 31st from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm for a meet and greet. Parents and students can drop in at any time to explore the classroom and meet me as well. You are welcome to bring your school supplies if you have them. This will help to lighten the load on the first day of class. I look forward to meeting all of you and enjoy your last few days of Summer vacation.
